"Lyda, the third child of Elza and Mary E. Hinshaw was born on the home farm on Sept. 27, 1874. She spent her girlhood days in this community, obtaining her schooling at the local schools. When about twenty years old she was married to Fremont Marlatt on Oct. 4, 1894. A well to do farmer of Henry county Indiana. They have reared a family of two children, Leo born Aug. 22, 1898 and Howard, born May 16, 1900. Lyda's second marriage was to Lewis Rayle on Feb. 19, 1919. They have a nice home near Bentonville, Ind."
