Born about 1843, New York.1  

He married Frances Matilda Topping, Nov 5 1867, Brooklyn, Kings County, New York.3,4  Frances, daughter of Stephen Howell Topping & Nancy Matilda Clark, was born Jan 6 1813, New York, New York.3  (c1845).1  

Linus' marriage was noted in the "Brooklyn Daily Eagle" (Brooklyn, New York) on Wednesday, November 6, 1867:5

HENSHAW-TOPPING. -- On Tuesday evening, Nov. 5th, at the house of Truman S. Brown, by the Rev. J. M. Buckley, of the Summerfield M. E. Church, L. K. Henshaw to Miss Frances M. Topping, both of this city.

Linus and Frances were shown in the 1870 census (Jul 18 1870), living in the household of Sarah (Henshaw) Charlotte (probably Linus' sister)6 in Brooklyn, Kings County, New York:1

Sharlotte, Sarah, age 39, born in New York.
Sharlotte, Irving, age 18, born in New York.
Sharlotte, Flora, age 16, born in New York; attended school.
Sharlotte, Grace, age 9, born in New York; attended school.
Henshaw, Linas, age 27, born in New York.
Henshaw, Frances, age 25, born in New York.
Bedell, Hewlett, age 50, born in New York; dry good.
Bedell, Angeline, age 40, born in New York.
Bedell, Emma, age 20, born in New York.
Myers, Anne, age 23, born in Ireland; parents foreign-born; servant.

Frances died Jan 16 1897, East Orange, New Jersey; age 85.3,7,8  

Frances' obituary was published in "The New York Herald" (New York, New York) on Monday, January 18, 18977 (see scan below).  

See also: Linus K. Henshaw #11503 of Brooklyn, New York, who might have been the father of this Linus.6  Note that Frances is buried in the very same plot with Linus K. Henshaw #11503 and family.8
