Franklin was shown age 1 in the 1860 Census, Washington Township, Randolph County, Indiana.6
At Cherry Grove MM on 9-14-1889, Franklin was granted a certificate to Trego MM, Kansas7 Note that this was ten years after Franklin's family had moved to Kansas (apparently they were requesting a certificate of removal from Cherry Grove MM in order to join Trego MM).
Franklin was the first doctor certified by the Oklahoma State Medical Board to practice medicine in Bristow, Creek County, Oklahoma.10
He married Mary L. Hewett, Apr 3 1885, Lyon County, Kansas.5,11 Mary was born Aug 25 1867, Kansas.2,3,4,5,12
