He married Mary Jerusha Frazier, Nov 14 1905, Union City, Randolph County, Indiana.1,2,3,5,7  Mary, daughter of Francis Frazier II & Jane C. Shockney, was born Oct 20 1884, Harrisville, Randolph County, Indiana.1,3,5,6,14,15  

At White River MM in 1915, John, Mary, Marian & Evert were received in membership.7

Mary's obituary was published in "The American Friend" on February 6, 1958 (page 47).15

Aretus John Hinshaw died Sep 17 1969, Parkview Nursing Home, Muncie, Delaware County, Indiana; buried Jericho Cemetery, Randolph County, Indiana.1,3,6,9,12
