Note: the name of Lillian's mother is not known for sure as her father married three times and which of his wives was Lillian's mother is not known.
She married Melvin T. Garver2,5 [Melville Garver2], Oct 7 18972,5, at the home of her sister Etta, Wayne County, Indiana2,5. Melvin was born Aug 25 18686 [Oct - 18674], Maxinkuckee, Marshall County, Indiana6.
Lillian's marriage was announced in a local newspaper. The newspaper clipping, now in the possession of Sheila Prior (), has a handwritten date of Friday, October 8, 1897,5 but does not show the name of the newspaper or city. The newspaper announcement follows:5

Marriage of Mr. Melvin Garver and
Miss Lillian HinshawAt 8 o'clock last night at the residence of the the bride's sister, Mrs. Etta Gregg, 201 south twelfth street, occurred the marriage of Mr. Melvin Garver, of Plymouth Ind., to Miss Lillian Hinshaw, of this city. No bride could have asked for a more beautiful night for her wedding; and the marriage ceremony was as quiet and beautiful as the night, being performed in an impressive manner by the Rev. A. E. Mahin, of the Methodist Episcopal church. Only the immediate relatives and a few intimate friends were present. The bride was becomingly attired in a wedding dress of brown, and carried roses, while the groom wore the customary black. A dainty supper was served.
The newly wedded pair left today for Bremen, Ind., where they will reside. They were accompanied by the best wishes of friends.

Melvin's obituary was published in a newspaper (name of newspaper unknown) on Monday, March 7, 1904:6

Mr. Garver and his wife came to Michigan, locating at Ithaca, where he engaged in the livery and bus business, and remained until 1902, when he moved to this city, purchasing the hotel property, known as the Exchange, and which business he conducted successfully until the time of his death.
After his death, at Alma, where he had been taken for treatment, his remains were taken back to his boyhood home, at Bremen, Ind., where the funeral services were held Friday afternoon, March 4th, conducted by the Presbyterian minister for that place.
The deceased left a devoted wife, his two sisters, Mrs. Clayton Huff, of Bremen, and Mrs. Geneka, of Chicago, and one brother E. Garver, of Salt Lake City, Utah, to mourn his loss.
During the two short years that the deceased had been one of our number, he had made many friends. He was a first-class hotel man, attended strictly to his business, and with his pleasant disposition and kindly ways, made a friend of every guest that stopped with him. Among our citizens and business men, he was held in high esteem, and his loss will be greatly deplored by his business associates. His hearty greetings, his pleasant, happy manners, his frank open hearted cordiality, had won for him a place in our midst, seldon [sic] obtained by any in so short a time, and his demise will be truly mourned by all who knew him, and the wife will have the deep sympathy of our entire community.
After Melvin's early death, Lillian continued to run the Exchange Hotel.7

She then married - Wonnacott.8
Lillian Hinshaw died Alma, Gratiot County, Michigan, buried Oak Grove Cemetery, Pine River Township, Gratiot County, Michigan.

Last Rites Held for
Mrs. WonnacottMrs. Lillian Garver Wonnacott passed away at an Alma hospital Friday, after four week's illness. Mrs. Wonnacott had been a sufferer from sugar diabetes for the past three years but until recently had been able to be about her usual duties. As the end drew near it is thought best to remove her to a hospital were she could be better cared for. She passed away Friday at 8 p. m. The remains were taken to the home of her sister, Mrs. Fred Frederickson on Hazel street where the funeral was held Monday at 2 o'clock, conducted by Rev. S. B. Ford, a former pastor of the Methodist church, but now of Maple Rapids, assisted by Rev. Roberts of the presbyterian church. Burial was in Oak Grove cemetary.
The deceased was born in Winchester, Randolph County, Indiana, and was 58 years and 8 months of age at the time of her demise.
For a great many years Mrs. Wonnacott had been proprietress and owner of the Exchange Hotel. Besides the husband those surviving are three sisters and their families.
Among those from out of town who attended the funeral were, Mrs. Etta Gregg, sons Carl and Earl, and their families from Detroit. A sister, Mrs. Mary Hoops, of near Philadelphia was unable to attend the funeral.
From the information in her obituary, it can be deduced that Lillian apparently died after 1921, when sister Nancy died, but before 1941, when her sister Kate died.
