Mrs William E. Hoopes
Mary J., widow of William E. Hoopes, passed away on Friday morning at her home at Hamorton in the 79th year of her age. She had been ill during the past week.
Mrs. Hoopes was born in Indiana, her parents dying when she was quite young. Her married life was spent at Gradyville, Deleware county. Her husband died five years ago, since which time she had made her home with a daughter at Hamorton.
She was a member of the Society of Friends.
She is survived by three children: Caroline, wife of Walter Urey, Edgemont; Annie, wife of Walter Uhde, Hamorton, and Ellsworth, of Edgewood Arsenal, Md. There are [... end of clipping]
