Born about 1835, Kentucky.2
On Feb 4 1865 Solomon Henshaw, age 30, enlisted at Paducah, Kentucky in Company C, 13th Regiment, U.S. Colored H. Artillery. He was recorded as 5'7" tall, yellow complexion, black eyes, black hair.2
He married Mary E. Johnson1 [Mary Stone3].
On Sep 17 1884 Solomon Henshaw applied for a Civil War pension in Kentucky as an invalid veteran of Company C, 13th U.S. Colored H. Artillery.4
On Jan 19 1910 Ellen Henshaw applied for a Civil War pension in Illinois as widow of Solomon Henshaw, veteran of Company C, 13th U.S. Colored H. Artillery.4
