Morris 'Ace' Manolovich
ALIQUIPPAMorris 'Ace' Manolovich, 88, of Aliquippa, passed away Thursday, July 10, 2008, in The Medical Center, Beaver.
Born Dec. 14, 1919, in Aliquippa, he was a son of the late Rade and Ljubica (Danco) Manolovich. Mr. Manolovich was a retired employee of the strip mill roll shop of LTV Steel, Aliquippa, and was a member of St. Elijah Serbian Orthodox Church and the Celtic Reds Athletic Club, both of Aliquippa. He was a U.S. Army veteran having served in World War II.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, June (Hanshew) Manolovich, in 1966; his second wife, Mary (Kerlin) Manolovich, in 1988; a son, Jim Kerlin; a granddaughter, Nicole Kerlin, and a brother, Mike Manolovich.
Surviving are three sons and daughters-in-law, Rade and Karen Manolovich, Moon Township; John and Judy Kerlin, Denver, Colo., and Nick and Donna Kerlin, State College; three daughters and a son-in-law, Ann and Walter Smith, North Hills; Mary Jones and Nancy Manolovich, both of Aliquippa; a daughter-in-law, Suzanne Kerlin, State College; 18 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren, and a sister, Ann "Saya" Neely, Richmond, Va.
A service was held Saturday in the TATALOVICH FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 2205 McMinn St., Aliquippa, http://www.tatalovichfuneralhome.com, with the Very Rev. Stevan Stepanov, his pastor, officiating.
Interment took place Monday in Mount Olivet Catholic Cemetery, Aliquippa, where the Beaver County Special Unit conducted military honors.
