Weldon's obituary was published in "The Paris News" on Wednesday, October 24, 1984:²

Weldon Morris Henshaw, Rt. 2, Paris, in the Reno community, died at St. Joseph's Hospital Tuesday, Oct. 23.  Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 25, in Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ken Cannon of Mt. Olive Baptist Church officiating.  Burial will be in Meadowbrook Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.  Mr. Henshaw was born April 26, 1912, in Paris, a son of Worth Henshaw and Ethel McCormick Henshaw.  He married Birtie Lou Stewart on April 16, 1937.  He attended schools in Paris and was a house moving contractor.  He was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church.  Surviving are his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Carmen Newberry of Paris; three stepdaughters, Mrs. Muncie Cummings of Paris, Mrs. Bill Whitner of Paris and Mrs. Dudley Evans of Paris; 14 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Birtie died Apr 25 1992, buried Meadowbrook Cemetery, Lamar County, Texas.³  

Birtie's obituary was published in "The Paris News" on Monday, April 27, 1992, page 2A:

... 82, 950 Anderson Rd. died Sat., Apr. 25, at her home.  Services at Bright-Holland Funeral Home 10 a.m. Tue., Apr. 28, with Rev. Danny Hoskins.  Born in OK., daughter of John R. & Mary E. Stewart, she married Weldon M. Henshaw in 1938 in Paris.  Member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church.  Surviving are 4 daughters, Carmen Henshaw, Margarette Maness, Virginia Cummings & Jo Ann Evers, all of Paris; 2 sisters, Ruth Henderson & Grace Herring, both of Paris; 11 grandchildren & 26 great grandchildren.  Was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Cleve Hatcher & Ernest Stewart, & by 3 sisters, Rose McQuigg, Bess Cooley & Nellie Stewart.
