Burt and family were shown in the 1900 census (Jun 16 1900), living with his mother in Clyde Township, St. Clair County, Michigan:¹

Margaret died Dec 24 1905, Port Huron, St. Clair County, Michigan; age 29y 7m.² Medical: Margaret died from pneumonia.²

In the record of the death of son George in 1907, Burt was shown as then-residing in Michigan, yet the record also shows wife Margaret resided in Scotland.²
