Four grand officers, including the Grand Master of Missouri, paid an official visit to a joint meeting of Chillicothe Lodge and Friendship lodge.
A. F. & A. M. Wednesday night, William F. Johnson of Boonville, Grand Master of the state, Corona H. Briggs of Springfield, Past Grand Master, Frank R. Jesse of St. Louis, Grand Secretary, and James R. McLachlan of Kohoka, Mo., Grand Lecturer, were present and made interesting talks to the large crowd of members present. Besides the grand officers there were also nine past Masters from surrounding lodges in attendence and District Deputy of the 12th district, R. A. Tharp of Wheeling, was also present. Following the various talks in the lodge room the visitors and members repaired to the dining room where light refreshments were served. It was the first visit of the new secretary, Mr. Jesse, to Chillicothe. He was appointed by the Grand Master to fill the unexpired term of John R. Parson, resigned, who had been secretary of the Missouri jurisdiction for many years.
