Charles Hinshaw
Deer Lake, Wash.
Private services will be held at a later date for Charles Raymond Hinshaw, 89. Riplinger Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Hinshaw, who was born in Rice, Wash., died Monday. He was a longtime resident of Spokane before moving to the Deer Lake area 38 years ago.
He worked for the Spokane Fire Department for many years and retired as captain in 1963.
Mr. Hinshaw also owned and operated the Pearl Ray Resort at Deer Lake for many years with his wife, Pearl. She died in 1987.
Survivors include a daughter, Nyla Johnson of Chattaroy; two grandsons, a great-grandson and a stepgreat-granddaughter.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Union Gospel Mission.
