Born Apr 18 1947, Portland, Jay County, Indiana.2,3  

He married Naomia Katherine Earls, Feb 18 1966.2  Naomia, daughter of - Earls & Chilia Hamilton, was born Dec 27 1942, Breathitt County, Kentucky.4  

He then married Sherry Irene (Frame) Hill2,3 [Sherry Irene Frame2], Jul 5 19752,3.  Sherry, daughter of Walter Frame & Edith Tague, was born Feb 14 1951.2,5  

James Frederick Hinshaw died May 13 2009, at his home, near Portland, Jay County, Indiana; age 62.3  

Jim's obituary was published as follows:3

James "Jim" F. Hinshaw, 62, rural Portland, expired Wednesday at his home following an extented illness.  Born to Kenneth L. Hinshaw and Mary Anna (Zigler) Hinshaw, he attended Gray School in Jay County and resident of Pike Township.  

He is survived by his wife Sherry (Frame) Hinshaw, whom he married on 1975,July,05.  

Retiring from the Jay County Highway Department in 2006 after 20 years of service, he was a farmer in Bearcreek Township for several years and a truck driver for several years.  Membership include the Circle X Riders Club in Winchester, Jay County Trail Riders Association and Tri-State Gas Engine and Tractor Assocition.  

Surviving besides his wife are 4 sons, Kenneth "Fred" Hinshaw, rural Portland, David Hinshaw, Kansas City, Mo, James "Bud" Young, Corinth, Ky, William "Bill" Young, Clearfild, Ky: a daughter Kylea Lee, Portland; 2 sisters, Mrs John (Carolyn Sue) Friend and Mrs Allen (Ruth Helen) Bruss, both of Portland; 13 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.  

Services are Saturday at 10:00am in the Portland Chapel of Williamson and Spencer Funeral Home with (Rev) Jeff Horsman and Russell Fraey officiating.  Burial will be in Gravel Hill Cemetery, west of Bryant.  

Visitation is Friday from 2 to 8 pm at the funeral home.  

Memoriais may be sent to Jay County Cancer Society or State of the Heart Hospice with envelopes available at the funeral home.

Sherry remarried to an -- Ellingwood.5
