David's obituary was published in "The Beacon News" (Aurora, Illinois) on April 29, 2012:4

Hinshaw, David G. Age 45, passed away on April 19, 2012, in Las Vegas, Nevada.  A 1984 Sandwich High School graduate, he enjoyed playing football, basketball, and baseball during his high school days.  David was born on May 17, 1966, to Robert and Dorothy (nee Zurek) Hinshaw in Fort Campbell, Kentucky.  He is survived by his parents, brother, Adam; sister, Lana (Ron) Hinshaw-Klann; nephews, Nicholas Klann and Karter Hothan, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.  He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Ernestine (nee Van de Steene) Cotton, George Hinshaw, Frank and Louise (nee Kubiak) Krawczyk, John Zurek, and one aunt, Linda (nee Hinshaw) Torres.  David was deeply loved and will be sadly missed, but his family hopes he has found peace.  Services for David are pending.

David G. Hinshaw, 45, passed away April 19, 2012, in Las Vegas.  He enjoyed playing football, basketball and baseball during his high school days.  More recently, he loved to go to the casino sports book.  He also loved to shoot pool.  David was born May 17, 1966, to Robert and Dorothy (nee Zurek) Hinshaw in Fort Campbell, Ky.  He is survived by his parents, brother Adam, sister Lana (Ron) Hinshaw-Klann, nephews Nicholas Klann and Karter Hothan, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.  He was preceded in death by his grandparents Ernestine (nee Van de Steene) Cotton, George Hinshaw, Frank and Louise (nee Kubiak) Krawczyk, John Zurek, and one aunt Linda (nee Hinshaw) Torres.  David was deeply loved and will be sadly missed.  A memorial mass for David will be held at 10:00 a.m. May 16th at Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church, located on Gamebird Rd. and Pahrump Valley Blvd.  A luncheon will follow at the NCO Club located on Calvada Blvd. just west of Pahrump Valley Blvd.
