Harold "Bill" Hinshaw, 83, of Kellogg died of a heart attack Tuesday at Skiff Medical Center in Newton.  Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Wallace-Pence Funeral Home in Newton.  Burial will be at Our Silent City Cemetery in Kellogg.  Mr. Hinshaw lived in Kellogg most of his life and was a winter resident of Brownsville, Texas.  He retired as a tool and die maker after working at Midwest Manufacturing in Kellogg, the Rock Island Arsenal and Dye-O-Matic in Montezuma.  He was a member of Kellogg United Methodist Church, National Campers and Hikers Association and Modern Woodmen Lodge.  Surviving are his wife, Jeanne; a son, William of Marion; a daughter, Judy Cooper of Kellogg; seven grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.  Friends may call after noon today at the funeral home, where the family will greet friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Kellogg Historical Society.

Funeral Service: 1 p.m., Wednesday, May 11, 2005 at the funeral home.  
Interment: 2:30 p.m., Wednesday, May 11, 2005 at the Newton Union Cemetery in Newton.  

Those left to honor Jeanne's memory are her son and daughter-in-law, William L. (Bill) and Rosie Hinshaw of Marion, Iowa; daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Alvin Cooper of Kellogg, Iowa; her 7 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and her 2 great-great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, L. E. (Bill) Auten of Newton and Dick Mason of Mishawaka, Indiana.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Sarah Jane (Wood) Auten; husband, Bill in 1996; her son, Mike Hinshaw; grandson, Donald B. Hinshaw; her 3 brothers, Jack, Jay and Merle Auten; and sister, Catherine Collins.  

Jeanne had been a receptionist for the United Telephon [sic] Company in Newton and for Midwest Metal Stamping Company in Kellogg.  She has been a lifetime resident of Jasper County, living in Kellogg and Newton.  

Jeanne attended Kellogg schools and was a graduate of Newton High School in 1934.  

Jeanne was a member of National Campers & Hikers Association.  

MEMORIALS to the Monarch Wing of Skiff Medical Center or to the Kellogg Fire and Ambulance Service may be left at the funeral home.
