LYNN - Purl L. Hinshaw, 91, died Friday in Reid Memorial Hospital, Richmond, after a long illness.
He retired from Mobile Oil Co. and was an Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors: a son, Rex Hinshaw; a stepsister, Ruth Funk; special friend, Maxine Parrott; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death: his wife, Dorothy (1994); two brothers; and a sister.
Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday, Thomas Funeral Home.
Burial: Fountain Park Cemetery, Winchester.
Calling: 5-8 p.m. today, at the funeral home.
Memorials: First Responders Unit of the Lynn Fire Department.
