Kenneth M. Hanshaw
HANSHAW, KENNETH M. - age 79, of Knoxville, passed away peacefully in his son's home, Wednesday, September 30, 2009. He was a member of Cumberland Baptist Church, and retired from Union Carbide. A loving father and grandfather, he embraced every day he was given. He was predeceased by his parents, George E. and Audrey Knott Hanshaw; his wife, Ada Arlone Hanshaw; his brothers, Bill Hanshaw and Millard Hanshaw; his sister, Geraldine Sayne. He is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Rick and Mary K, and Mark and Yvette; his grandchildren, Grace Hanshaw, Sara Hanshaw, and Mark E. Hanshaw, Jr., and by many other family members who loved him and will miss him. The family will receive friends at Weaver Funeral Home, Tuesday, from 6:00-8:00 pm. The funeral service, officiated by Dr. Kerry Bond, will follow immediately. Family and friends will meet at Highland Memorial Cemetery Mausoleum, 10:45 a.m. Wednesday, for 11:00 a.m. interment services.
