His immigration record listed him as single, age 25, occupation 'valet'. He was listed as a "non immigrant alien". He arrived with brother John Percy Henshaw, age 21, also single, also a 'valet'. Both were born in Nottingham. Their nearest relative in England was recorded as "father", 179 Lower Richmond Rd, Putney, London. Their final destination was New York. (They were also recorded as not criminals, insane, polygamists or anarchists). Arthur was recorded as having previously been in the U.S. 1907-1910, and John 1908-1910. Their U.S. relative or friend was listed as Mr. Smith, 161 W. 51st St., New York. Arthur was recorded as 5' 10" tall, black hair, blue eyes, fair complexion.3
Arthur apparently went back to England for some reason, perhaps just to visit. Arthur Gregory Henshaw again arrived in New York (Ellis Island) on Oct 24 1912 on the ship S.S. Majestic, having departed Southampton, England on Oct 16 1912. His immigration record listed him as single, age 29, occupation 'valet', born in Nottingham. He was listed as a "non immigrant alien". His final destination was New York. His nearest relative in England was recorded as father Wm Henshaw, 179 Lower Richmond Rd, Putney, London. Arthur was recorded as 5' 10" tall, br hair, bl eyes, fair complexion.3
Arthur was shown in the 1920 census (Jan 5 1920), working as a servant (with many other servants) in the household of a widow Elizabeth Willa [unclear] Reid, 451 Madison Avenue, Manhattan, New York, New York:5

On Apr 6 1922 Arthur Gregory Henshaw and wife Ada and son Arthur were issued a U.S. passport He declared he was born October 18 1884 in Nottingham, England and his father, William Henshaw was born in England and was then residing in Radisson, Canada; Ada was born in England, and son Arthur G. was born in New York City. Arthur declared he immigrated from Liverpool about August 1910, and had resided uninterruptedly from 1910 to 1922 at 451 Madison Ave., New York, New York; naturalized at the District Court in New York City on Oct 4th 1921. He declared his occupation as "Butler N.Y. City". He declared he intended to depart Apr 19 1922 from the port of New York, sailing on board the "Carmania" [unclear], intending to visit the British Isles and France [..stated purpose unclear..]. He was recorded as age 37, 5' 10" tall, gray eyes, light brown hair, fair complexion, oval face, high forehead.4
Arthur and family again arrived in New York (Ellis Island) on Jul 3 1922 on the ship S.S. Laconia, having departed Liverpool, England:3
