Frank and Matilda lived and farmed in the Morrowville, Kansas area until his death in 1945. He had a stroke while cultivating corn with horses. He fell off the cultivator and the horses came home without him. He died in the hospital in Fairbury, Nebraska.5
Matilda then lived at Endicott, Nebraska for awhile until moving to Lincoln,Nebrska in the mid 1950's. She never remarried.5
In 1973 Matilda was still living in Lincoln, Lancaster County, Nebraska.10
