He married Clara Ethel West, Sep 11 1912, Noblesville, Hamilton County, Indiana.1,12,13,14  Clara, daughter of Marion Francis West & Nancy Belle Armstrong, was born Apr 7 1892, Lizton, Indiana.1,2,3  

Goff was a florist; later a lay minister.1  

On June 5, 1917 Goff Chesney Hinshaw, age 27, registered for the World War I draft in Boone County, Indiana.  He declared he was born Aug 14 1889 in Boone County, Indiana, and he was then a resident of Zionsville, where he was employed as a "laborer on section" with the "CCC St. L R.R. Co." and had a wife and two children.  He was recorded as slender, medium height, blue eyes, light brown hair.11
