EBENEZER F. HENSHAW was born in New Bedford, Mass., May 15th, 1808, and in 1825 came with his father’s family from Cayuga County to Java, locating on lot 5, range 3. He was married to Polly Lisk, of Java, January 26th, 1830, after which he cleared up a farm in Wethersfield, and remained there until about 1845, when he removed to North Java, and thence to Williamsville, where he still resides, engaged in blacksmithing.

Ebenezer was probably the son of Samuel Henshaw & Sally Fuller.11
