He married Linda Addis, Aug 20 1960, Monroe, Michigan.1,4,5  Linda, daughter of Raymond G. Addis & Betty Feightner, was born Jul 30 1946, Lorain, Ohio.1,6,7  

In 1965 Gordon was living in Lorain, Ohio.1  

In 2002 Gordon and Linda were living in Sheffield Lake, Lorain County, Ohio.3  

Gordon James Hinshaw died Aug 15 2014, Mercy New Life Hospice Center, Lorain, Lorain County, Ohio; age 73.4,5

A Celebration of Gordon's Life will be at the LORAIN MOOSE LODGE #552, 713 W 5TH STREET LORAIN AT 10:00AM. Saturday, August 30.  

Gordon James Hinshaw, 73 of Sheffield Lake, formerly of Avon Lake passed away of a sudden illness, Friday, August 15, 2014 at the Mercy New Life Hospice Center, Lorain.  

Gordon was born, January 18, 1941 in Grand Rapids, MI and had lived in Sheffield Lake since 1971.  

After Avon Lake High School, Gordon joined the United States Navy and upon his discharge from the military he began what would become 30 years of exemplary service with the Ford Motor Company, Lorain.  There he worked as a relief man on the trim section of commercial assembly line.  

Immediately following his retirement from Ford, Gordon started his own business, Fresh Cut Lawn Service, cutting up to 60 client's lawns weekly.  His favorite saying was that he worked the first 30 years of his life indoors and he wanted to work the next 30 years outdoors.  

He was a member of the Lorain Moose Lodge #552 as well as area gun and hunt clubs.  He was known as an outdoorsman being an exceptional deer hunter, trapper and fisherman.  He also was a bowler, participating with his wife in the Saturday Night Moonlight Couples League at the North Coast Shoreway Lanes.  Avid Browns Fan He [sic] enjoyed trips to Seneca Alleghany, Las Vegas and Florida and loved to be with people, family and grandchildren and great grand grandchildren were most important.  

Gordon is survived by his loving wife of 52 years Linda L. (nee Addis), beloved daughters Michelle A. Bartlebaugh (Brian) and Colleen L. Dominguez (Joe) both of Lorain.  He is also survived by grandchildren Jamie, Brittney, Baron, Dominic, Brooke and Kelsey and 3 great grandchildren Kaiden, Jaxon, and Avery.  Other survivors include brothers Gary Waters and Jack Waters.  

He is preceded in death by his parents Graydon Hinshaw and Virginia Wolfe [sic], great grandson Michael Joseph, two brothers Cliff Waters and Kenneth "Snooks" Waters and stepmother Charlotte Waters.
