He married Norma Jean Byrnes5,6 [Jean Byrnes7], Aug 28 19435,6.  Norma was born Apr 10 1924, Indianapolis, Marion County, Indiana.7  

Dwight was a farmer, and also co-owned, with Gordon L. Hadley,8 the "Hadley & Hinshaw Ditching Company".5

Hinshaws celebrate 60th anniversary

Mr. and Mrs. Dwight Hinshaw of Monrovia will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary with a party at their house at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 31.  

The former Norma Jean Byrnes married Dwight Hinshaw Aug. 28, 1943.  

Hinshaw was the owner/operator of Hadley/Hinshaw Ditching for 40 years and is also a retired farmer.  Mrs. Hinshaw retired from the Monroe-Gregg School District and Miller's Merry Manor.  

The couple are the parents of six children, Donna Dolen, Nancy Glover, Judy Hinshaw, Lynn Kempf, LuAnn Schalk and Judd Hinshaw.  They have 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Dwight Richard Hinshaw died Jan 28 2006, Hendricks Regional Health, Danville, Indiana; buried Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Hall, Indiana.5

Dwight Hinshaw, 81

Dwight Richard Hinshaw, 81, Monrovia, died Saturday afternoon, Jan. 28, 2006, at Hendricks Regional Health in Danville.  

Born May 26, 1924, in Monrovia, he was the son of Ira Jacob Hinshaw and Helen Marie (Allen) Hinshaw.  

He married Norma Jean (Byrnes) Hinshaw on Aug. 28, 1943.  She survives, residing in Monrovia.  

He was a self-employed farmer all of his life, retiring in 1993.  He was also co-owner of Hadley & Hinshaw Ditching Co. for 40 years, retiring in 1993.  He was a member of the Monrovia Christian Church and Drainage Contractors Association.  

Survivors include sons, Judd Richard Hinshaw of Monrovia and James Glenn Byrnes of Mooresville; daughters, Donna Jo Dolen of Mooresville, Nancy Lee Glover of New Smyrna Beach, Fla., Judith Elaine Will of Mooresville, Lynn Marie Kempf of Avon and Lu Ann Schalk of Monrovia; brothers, Robert Isley Hinshaw of Plainfield, Julian Ward Hinshaw of Monrovia and Paul Wayne Hinshaw of Monrovia; 14 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.  

The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2006, at Carlisle & Son Funeral Chapel in Mooresville.  Pastor Jack Elliott and Pastor Lawrence Byrnes will officiate.  Burial will be at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Hall.  

Friends may call from 4 to 8 tonight at the funeral chapel.  

Memorial contributions may be made to Kidney Foundation of Indiana, 911 E. 86th St., Indianapolis, IN 46240.  

He was preceded in death by a brother, Allen Eugene Hinshaw.

Norma died Dec 21 2013, Sugar Grove Nursing Facility, Plainfield, Hendricks County, Indiana; age 89.7,10

Jean Hinshaw
April 10, 1924 - December 21, 2013

Jean Hinshaw, 89, Monrovia, died peacefully December 21, 2013, in Sugar Grove Nursing Facility, Plainfield.  Jean was born April 10, 1924, in Indianapolis and was the oldest of 15 children.  

A longtime Morgan County resident, she was a member of Gasburg Baptist Church and was a proud homemaker, loving wife, mother, and grandmother.  She enjoyed playing cards, traveling, caring for animals, and was an accomplished cook.  

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dwight Richard Hinshaw; daughter, LuAnn Schalk; brothers, Thomas and Ernest Byrnes; sisters, Phyllis Burton, Grace Staccodo, and Mildred Lear.  

Survivors include her children, Judd Hinshaw (Terri) of Monrovia, Donna Dolen of Mooresville, Nancy Glover of Florida, Judy Hinshaw of Mooresville, Lynn Kempf (Greg) of Avon; brothers, Rev. Donald Byrnes of Columbus, Rev. Lawrence Byrnes of Marion, Max Byrnes of Rushville, Jimmy Byrnes of Mooresville, Raymond Byrnes of Frankfort, Leroy Byrnes of Mooresville; sisters, Doris Stokes of Amo, Irene Wellenstine of Arkansas; son-in-law, Mike Schalk; 13 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild.  

The funeral service will begin at 11 a.m., Friday, December 27, 2013, in the Carlisle - Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, Mooresville, with calling there from 4 to 7 p.m., Thursday, December 26, 2013.  Rev. Jim Shields will officiate, and burial will be in Mt.
