He married Anna Belle Swagerty, about 1908.1,2,5  Anna, daughter of J. G. Swaggerty, was born Dec 11 1889, Tennessee.1,5  

On Jun 5 1917 George P. Hinchey, age 30, registered for the World War I draft in Knoxville, Tennessee.  He declared he was born March 23 1887 in Dandridge [unclear], Tennessee, and was then residing at 612 Ben Hur Ave., Knoxville, Tennessee, occupied as a machinist helper.  He declared he was married, with a dependent wife and child.  He was recorded as medium height, stout, gray eyes, light brown hair.7

Anna died Apr 18 1920, Knoxville, Knox County, Tennessee; buried Huckleberry Springs Cemetery, Knox County, Tennessee.5  

He then married Minnie Ethel Dowling, Jun 18 1922.2,3,5  Minnie was born Jul 25 1900, Tennessee.2,4,5

George Porter "Buck" Hinchey died Nov 6 1974, Knoxville, Knox County, Tennessee; buried Ball Camp Baptist Church Cemetery, Knox County, Tennessee.5  

Minnie died Nov 4 1990, Morrow, Clayton County, Georgia; buried Ball Camp Baptist Church Cemetery, Knox County, Tennessee.5
