Anna S. Henshaw1 [Anna Chase Henshaw2].

Born about 1906, South Dakota.1,2

There is some uncertainty about Anna's biological parents.  She was shown clearly in the 1910 census as "daughter" of Charles Henry Henshaw & Emma A. Chase, yet she was shown as "grand daughter" in the 1920 census.  It is unknown if she was the biological daughter of Charles & Emma Henshaw (Emma would have been about 48 years old when Anna was born), or if she was actually a granddaughter.  Note that in the 1910 census Emma was shown as having only one child, which was probably her son Claude C. Chase from her first marriage.  Anna was probably the daughter of Claud C. Chase from his apparent short marriage sometime between 1900 and 19103 (she was shown in the 1920 census as Anna Chase Henshaw), however it appears that she was raised by Charles & Emma as Anna Henshaw.
