He married Mabel Pearl McMurray, Nov 27 1916, Fairfield, Jefferson County, Iowa.^2,3,9 Mabel, daughter of Benjamin Franklin "Frank" McMurray & Sarah Elenor "Nellie" Talbert, was born Nov 17 1900, Pleasant Plain, Jefferson County, Iowa.^2,5,9,10

Mabel and son Albert were shown in the 1920 census (Jan 19 1920), living with her parents at 102 South Sixth Street, Fairfield, Jefferson County, Iowa:²

Glenn and Mabel were apparently divorced. Mabel remarried Dec 1 1936 to a Chalmers A. King.³ Mabel died Sep 5 1975, Washington, Washington County, Iowa; buried Evergreen Cemetery, Fairfield, Jefferson County, Iowa.^3,5,10

He then married Anna McDaniel, about 1920.¹ Anna was born Sep 16 1902, Missouri.^5,11

Glenn and son Merle (but not wife Anna) were shown in the 1930 census (Apr 9 1930), living in a boarding/rooming house at 302 East Kansas Avenue, St. Joseph, Missouri:⁴

Glenn and Anna were divorced May 8 1931.³ Anna remarried to a -- Becker,¹ and (apparently) to a Henry C. Ostertag (Oct 28 1902 - Jan 1987).^5,12 Son Merle took the name Ostertag and declared his father to be Henry Ostertag. Anna died Apr - 1990.⁵

He then married Minnie Elizabeth Edwards³ [Minnie Elizabeth Johnston³], Feb 22 1974³, Hiawatha, Brown County, Kansas³. Marriage license #10693; marriage by probate Judge Dee Henry; witnesses were Hazel J. Chesnut & Lucy T. Moore.³ Minnie, daughter of George Albert Edwards & Sarah Jane Clymens, was born Nov 28 1896, Atchison, Nodaway County, Missouri.³

Minnie had been twice previously married, first to Frank Albert Turner, who died Jan 16 1948, and secondly to Allen Wilford Johnston, who died Sep 4 1967.³

Minnie and her first husband had a restaurant in St. Joseph, Missouri, near the old Union Station. They had been friends with Glenn and Bessie in the 1930s.¹

Glenn Carlos Hanshaw died Nov 13 1975^1,5,8, Wathena, Doniphan County, Kansas^1,5,8; buried Ashland Cemetery, Doniphan County, Kansas^1,5,8 [Mt. Auburn Cemetery¹³].
