She married Paul Emerson Myers, Jun 23 1929, Poplar Ridge Friends Church, Carmel, Hamilton County, Indiana.1,2  Paul, son of Elmer Lynn Myers & Harriet Blue Wright, was born Feb 23 1902, Carmel, Hamilton County, Indiana.1,3

Paul died Dec 4 1980.2,3  

Iris was a Microanalyst in the Food & Drug Laboratory of the Indiana State Board of Health.1,2  After retirement, she raised African Violet seeds as a paying hobby.1  

Iris lived in Roachdale, Putnam County, Indiana.5  

Iris Albert Arline Hinshaw died Mar 20 2002, Danville, Indiana; buried Crown Hill Cemetery, Indianapolis, Marion County, Indiana.2,6

Iris Hinshaw Myers, 94, Roachdale, formerly of Indianapolis, died March 20.  She was a serologist and microbiologist 30 years for the Indiana State Board of Health.  

She was a member of Roachdale Presbyterian Church, Alpha Delta Pi sorority, Philomath Club, Indiana Nut Growers Association and the African Violet Association.  She was a 1929 graduate of Butler University.  

Services: 11 a.m. March 23 in Servies & Morgan Funeral Home, Roachdale, with calling from 10 a.m.  Additional services: 2 p.m. March 23 in Crown Hill Gothic Chapel.  Burial: Crown Hill Cemetery.  

She was the widow of Paul E. Myers.  Survivors: daughters Martha Lois Boruff, Patricia Gathers; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.

Iris Hinshaw Myers, 94, Roachdale, died Wednesday at Danville.  

Born April 30, 1907 in Carmel, she was the daughter of Albert and Audrey (Galbraith) Hinshaw.  

On June 23, 1929 at Carmel, she married Paul E. Myers, and he preceded her in death Dec. 4, 1980.  

She was a serologist and microbiologist for the Indiana State Board of Health for 30 years.  

A graduate of Carmel High School, she attended DePauw University and graduated from Butler University in 1929.  

She was a member of the Roachdale Presbyterian Church, Alpha Delta Pi sorority, Philomath Club, Indiana Nut Growers Association and the African Violet Association.  

Survivors include two daughters, Martha Lois Boruff, Roachdale, and Patricia Gathers, McLean, Pa.; seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.  

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.  

Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at Servies and Morgan Funeral Home, Roachdale.  Revs. Charles L. Powell and Joe C. Wyatt will officiate.  

Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery, Indianapolis, where a graveside service is set for 2 p.m. Saturday at the gothic chapel.  

Visitation is 10-11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
