On Jun 5 [1917] Jeter Henry Sims, age 23, had registered for the World War I draft in Louisa County, Virginia.  He had declared he was born in 1894 in Louisa County, Virginia, and was then residing in Bumpass, Louisa County, Virginia, single, occupied as a teamster employed by the William Smith Co. of Louisa County.  He claimed an exemption due to "support mother".  He was recorded as short, stout, gray eyes, brown hair.4  

Addie and Jeter were shown in the 1920 census (Jan 26 1920), living with Jeter's widowed mother on Ganderville Road, Louisa County, Virginia:9

Living next door in 1930 was the family of first cousin Robert Linn Henshaw.10  

On Apr 27 1942 Jeter Henry Sims, age 47, registered for the World War II draft at the County Court House in Richmond, Virginia.  He declared he was born June 9 1894 in Louisa County, Virginia, and was then residing "near Staples Mill Road", Henrico County, Virginia, employed by the H.H. Walton Lumber Co. of Dumbarton, Virginia.  He declared his relative/contact was his wife, Mrs. Annie Sims [sic].  He was recorded as 5'6" tall, 140 lbs., gray eyes, brown hair, dark brown complexion.5  

Addie and Jeter lived off of Staples Mill Road in Richmond, Virginia; Jeter worked for the Walton Lumber Company in Richmond.6  

Addie Lucille Henshaw died Jul 9 1956, Henrico County, Virginia; buried Little River Baptist Church, St. Rt. 609 / Buckner Rd., Buckner, Louisa County, Virginia.1,3  

Jeter died Aug 16 1958, Richmond, Virginia; buried Little River Baptist Church, St. Rt. 609 / Buckner Rd., Buckner, Louisa County, Virginia.1
