The following announcement was published in "The Kokomo Tribune" (Kokomo, Indiana) on Tuesday, July 9, 1946:6
BELL-LOWERY Mr. and Mrs. L. G. Lowery, Kokomo route 5 announce the marriage of their daughter, Norma Jean, to Keith Bell, y 3-c, U.S.N., son of Mrs. Hazel Bell, 623 West Woodland avenue.
The couple was married in the sanctuary of the Roberts Park Methodist church in Indianapolis at 4 o'clock Wednesday afternoon, July 3. The Rev. Sumner L. Martin officiated at the single ring ceremony.
Mr. and Mrs. C. R. Hancher, Jr. of Terre Haute attended the couple.
The bride wore a dusty rose street length dress with white accessories. Mrs. Hancher wore a maize street length dress with black accessories.
