Paul A. Henshaw Jr. Funeral services for Paul A. Henshaw Jr, 60, of Athens are scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday at Victorious Praise and Worship with Steve Adams and Marvin Partin officiating.
Interment will follow at Carroll Springs Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Athens.
Mr. Henshaw passed away on Wednesday, April 13, 2005, at his residence.
Mr. Henshaw was born on Sept. 21, 1944, in Dallas to Paul and Orbie Henshaw.
He was raised in Dallas and married Joyce Grubbs on May 11, 1964.
He had been employed as a welder with the Master Tank Company and was a retired self-employed paint contractor. He moved to Athens in 1978.
Mr. Henshaw also known as "junior" enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He loved cooking, fishing and building projects. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather who had great compassion for his family.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce Henshaw of Athens; son and daughter-in-law, Paul A. and Jody Henshaw of Athens; daughters and son-in-law, Carol and Matthew Mortiere of Lawton, Okla., and Patricia Phillips of Athens; sister, Arenda Truitt of Athens; 11 grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
Pallbearers include Paul Henshaw III, Paul Henshaw IV, Lewis Henshaw, Shawn Baughman, Matthew Mortiere, Kenneth Partin, Clint Adams and Russell Scoggins.
Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday at Cooper Funeral Home in Athens.
Joyce currently (2009) resides in Athens, Texas with her sister-in-law Arenda.5
