Charlotte Jane Henshaw

OAK ISLAND, NC - Charlotte Jane Henshaw, 88, a resident of Oak Island, NC since 1992, previously of Hopewell Junction, died Wednesday, May 18, 2005 at home.  She was employed by Equitable Life Insurance Company.  She was a member of Hopewell Reformed Church.  Born in Tarrytown, NY on Nov. 17, 1916, she was the daughter of George and Clara Berger Dennis.  She was married to the late William Henshaw.  Survivors include three daughters, Karen Spiciarich of Oak Island, NC, Christine Coates of New Berlin, NY, and Joan Lloyd of Poughkeepsie; six grandchildren and five great grandchildren.  She was predeceased by her son, William Henshaw.  There will be no calling hours.  Funeral Services will be held at Robert H. Auchmoody Funeral Homes, Inc., 900 Route 82, Hopewell Junction on Sunday, May 22, 2005 at 3:00 p.m.  Rev. Taylor Holbrook will officiate.  Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.  Due to Mrs. Henshaw's enjoyment and love for all living things, the family has requested that memorial donations be made to ASPCA, 424 East 92nd Street, 4th Floor, NY, NY 10128 or to the Animal or Wildlife organization of the donor's choice.

Charlotte Jane Henshaw

Mrs. Charlotte Jane Henshaw, 88, of Oak Island died Wednesday, May 18, 2005, at her residence.  

The funeral was conducted in Hopewell Junction, N. Y.  

Mrs. Henshaw was born November 17, 1916, in Tarrytown, N. Y., daughter of the late George and Clara Berger Dennis, and moved to Oak Island from Hopewell Junction in 1992.  She was retired from Equitable Life Insurance Company and attended Oak Island Presbyterian Church.  

She was the widow of William Harrison Henshaw and was also preceded in death by a son, William Henshaw.  Survivors include three daughters, Karen Spiciarich of Oak Island, Christine Coates of New Berlin, N. Y., and Joan Lloyd of Poughkeepsie, N. Y.; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.  

Due to Mrs. Henshaw’s enjoyment and love for all living things, the family has requested that memorial contributions be made to ASPCA, 424 East 92nd Street, 4th Floor, New York, NY 10128, or to the animal or wildlife organization of the donor’s choice.
