On Sep 10 1918 John Miles Kline, age 33, registered for the World War I draft in Valley County, Montana. He declared he was born May 5 1885, and then resided in Glasgow, Valley County, Montana where he was a self-employed lawyer. He declared his nearest relative was his wife, Daisy H. Kline of Glasgow. He was recorded as short, medium build, blue eyes, black hair, with a disability: "has lost sight of right eye".7

Mrs. John M. Kline
Mrs. Daisy Kline, 80, formerly of Germantown, and a resident of Glasgow, Montana for the past 50 years, died March 20 in the Glasgow Hospital, following an illness of the past five months.
Born December 14, 1882, in Germantown, she was the daughter of the late Henry Henshaw and Mary Marriott Henshaw. She was married on June 22, 1910 in Germantown to John Miles Kline, who died in Glasgow on June 5, 1942. She was a member of the Glasgow Methodist Church and an active member in several women's organizations.
Surviving are one son, Attorney John Marriott Kline, Glasgow; one daughter, Mrs. Elizabeth Granum, Oakland, Calif., four grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Seth Warfield of Kennsingtown, Ind. [sic: Kensington, Montgomery County, Maryland].
Funeral services were held last Friday at 2 p.m. in the First Methodist Church in Glasgow with Rev. Dwight Harshman officiating. Interment was in Glasgow's Highland Cemetery.
