CNY community marketed as gay-friendly ...   A few months ago, Andrea Hinshaw and her partner, Brandy Newsome, saw a newspaper ad for a Victorian-style apartment on Green Street.  They drove from Central Square to check out the neighborhood.   "We had no idea that a neighborhood like this existed," Hinshaw said.  The two moved into the neighborhood.   "We saw the flags and said, 'We're home.'"

Andrea Lucy Hinshaw February 22, 2005 Andrea Lucy Hinshaw, 20, died Tuesday.  She was a resident of Pound, Virginia.  Her hometown was Constantia, New York.  Andrea was a 2001 graduate of P. V. Moore High School in Central Square.  While attending high school, she was amember of the German Club and of the Marching Band.  She also participated in Drum Line competitions.  In middle school, she received an award for initiating the "Random Acts of Kindness" program.  She shared her special creativity at a local florist and assisted in the Admissions Office of Onondaga Community College.  She is survived by her mother, Grace Mollura Marticello; father and stepmom, Ronald and Betty Hinshaw; paternal grandparents, Ruth and Bill Russell of Cicero; maternal aunt, Sally Mollura of Kansas City, MO; her brothers and sisters, Daniel and James Marticello, David and Kevin Hinshaw, Penny and Honey-Beth Nelson, Ed and Brad Nelson.  Funeral services will be Tuesday, March 1, at 10 a.m., with a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Bernadette Church, Constantia.  Burial will follow in St. Agnes Cemetery.  The family will receive friends Monday, February 28, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Fergerson Funeral Home, 215 South Main St., North Syracuse.  Donations may be made to The Humane Association of CNY, 4915 West Taft Road, Liverpool, NY 13088 or to Hope For the Bereaved, 4500 Onondaga Blvd., Syracuse, NY 13219.  FergersonFuneralHome.com
