At Milton, Wis., March 28, 1887, from the effects of a cancerous tumor, Mrs. Harriet A., wife of Jedediah Davis, aged 59 years, 4 months and 1 day. The deceased had been a member of the church at Milton for many years and was consistent in her Christian deportment. She had been an invalid for over ten years, and bore her lot of suffering with great patience and resignation. She left behind, to mourn their loss, two children, a son and a daughter, besides a devoted husband. Her funeral was held in the church of which she was a member, and the services were conducted by the pastor. She was among those to whom "to die is gain."
