Rez's obituary was published in the "News-Record" (Greensboro, North Carolina) on Monday, December 28, 2009:10
GREENSBORO -- Mr. Hinshaw, 93, of Charlotte, N.C., and formerly of Greensboro, died Friday, December 25, 2009, at the Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House in South Carolina.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, December 29, at Westminster Gardens, located at 30601 Whitehurst Road in Greensboro. The family will receive friends and family following the service.
Mr. Hinshaw was born in Randolph County on August 18, 1916, to the late Jesse L. and Sarah Garner Hinshaw. He was also preceded in death by his loving wife, Yvonne "Vonnie" Davis Hinshaw, four brothers and one sister.
He was a member of Mt. Pisgah United Methodist Church in Greensboro. Mr. Hinshaw was retired from a career with Wachovia Bank.
Survivors are his son, David Hinshaw of Charlotte; daughter, Carol Dallas of Senoia, Ga.; and four granddaughters.
Memorials may be made to Mt. Pisgah United Methodist Church, 2600 Pisgah Church Road, Greensboro, NC 27408.
