VISTA - Mary Ellen Hinshaw, 91, died Sunday, Oct. 6, 2002, at her home. Born June 26, 1911, in La Verne, she lived in Vista for 33 years. She was a homemaker. Ms. Hinshaw was preceded in death by her husband, V. William Hinshaw, in 1993. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Ellen Mae and Robert Walcott of Vista, Catherine and Maurice Cote of Gilford, N.H., Bertina Jenner of Pittsburg, and Beth and Spike Harvey of Vista; 23 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Visitation is scheduled from 4 to 8 p.m. today, Oct. 10, at Eternal Hills Mortuary, 1999 El Camino Real in Oceanside. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 11, at Emmanuel Baptist Church of Vista, 342 Eucalyptus Ave., in Vista. Private internment will be held at Eternal Hills Memorial Park. The family suggests memorial donations to the American Bible Society, 1865 Broadway, New York, N.Y. 10023-7505. Eternal Hills Mortuary is handling arrangements.
