Living next door in 1920 was the family of Fred's brother, Ernest Edmond Hord;10 four more houses away (apparently living alone) was Fred's father.11

She then married Ernest Loy Daniel, 1955, Desoto County, Florida.4  Ernest was born Sep 1 1895.5  

Laverne Stella Hanshaw died Nov 7 1975, Lee County, Florida; age 80.1,5,9  

Laverne's obituary was published in the "Fort Myers News-Press" (Ft. Myers, Florida) on Saturday, November 8, 1975:9

LaVerne H. Daniel, 80, a resident of Fort Myers for the past 56 years, died Friday morning.  She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Order of the Eastern Star and American Legion Auxilliary.  She was a charter member of the Pilot Club.  Surviving are her husband, E. Loy Daniel of Fort Myers; two daughters, Val Jean H. Tooley of Cherry Point, NJ and Loraine H. Jonson of Fort Myers; a son, Alfred L. Hord of Fort Myers; a sister, Pearl Hanshaw of Fort Myers; a brother, S. Eldon Hanshaw of Jacksonville, 5 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.  Funeral service will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at Leo W. Engelhardt Funeral Home.  Burial will be at Fort Myers Cemetery.

Ernest died Aug 19 1985, Lee County, Florida.5
