Ida Mae Berman

Ida Mae Berman, 76, of St. Albans passed away Sept. 16, 2004, at home.  

She was a 16-year resident of St. Albans, formerly of Naples, Fla.  She was a former employee of the Collier County Tax Department in Florida.  She was retired from the Marriott, having worked in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and Charleston.  

Ida was a member of Landmark Baptist Church, St. Albans.  

She was preceded in death by her father, Cecil Hanshaw; and brother, William Hanshaw.  

She is survived by her mother, Esta N. Hanshaw of St. Albans; daughter and son-in-law, Elaine and James North of Fort Myers, Fla.; sons and a daughter-in-law, Neal Berman of Daytona, Fla.; Marcus and Jayne Berman of Naples, Fla.; sister and brother-in-law, Kay and Robert Hitchcock of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; and six grandchildren.  

Service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 18, at the Cunningham Memorial Park Upper Mausoleum Chapel, St. Albans, with Pastor Larry Conway officiating.  Burial will follow in the cemetery.  

There will be no visitation.  

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Kanawha Hospice Care, 1143 Dunbar Ave., Dunbar, WV 25064.  

Casdorph & Curry Funeral Home, 110 B St., St. Albans, is in charge of arrangements.  Service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 18, at [...]
