WALLACE HANSHAW 1920-2000.  

Wallace Hanshaw, 80, of Louisa, died Friday, March 17, at his residence after a short illness.  Mr. Hanshaw was born February 20, 1920, in Matewan, West Virginia, a son of the late David C. and Leora Spurlock Hanshaw.  He worked for Kentucky Power Company and was a member of Spencer Freewill Baptist Church.  Survivors include his wife, Edith F. Hanshaw of Louisa; six daughters, Janet Irene Hanshaw and Elaine (Charles) Adkins, both of Louisa, Opal Caudill and Martha (Warren) Simpkins, both of Commercial Point, Ohio, Patsy (Tim) Myers and Greta Hanshaw, both of Columbus, Ohio; three sons, Frank Hanshaw and Joe W. Hanshaw, both of Louisa, and Homer Hanshaw of Catlettsburg; one sister, Lillie Douglas of Goose Creek, South Carolina; three brothers, Arnold Hanshaw of Louisa, John Henry Hanshaw of Jackson, Ohio and David H. Hanshaw of Utica, Michigan; 17 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.  Funeral services were conducted by Reverends Ronnie Childers and Roger Jordan Monday, March 20, at Young Funeral Home Chapel, Louisa.  Burial was in Wellman Cemetery, Fort Gay.  Young Funeral Home, Inc. was in charge of arrangements.
