He was occupied as manager, New Brunswick Pool Room. He claimed an exemption due to "wife + child dependent". He was recorded as medium height, medium build, gray eyes, dark hair, with a disability: "claims Rheumatism bad at times".²

Ernest B. Hanshaw died Jan 4 1936, St. Marys Hospital, Huntington, Cabell County, West Virginia; age 48y 3m 26d.³ Ernest died from injuries after being struck by a taxi.³
