Douglas Lee Henshaw Douglas Lee Henshaw, 50, of Stanardsville, died Monday, December 4, 2006, at his residence.
He was born August 1, 1956, in Charlottesville and was the son of the late Owen C. Henshaw Sr. He was also preceded in death by a brother, John Edward Henshaw Sr.; and a step-grandson, Matthew Dewayne Shaver II.
He is survived by his mother, Margaret Sheler Henshaw; his wife, Rebecca Watson Henshaw, both of Stanardsville; two daughters, Audrey Lynn Courtney and her husband, Franklin Shannon, of Hampton Roads, Virginia, and Brittney Nicole Henshaw [sic] of Stanardsville; stepdaughter, Kimberly Ann Watson of Charlottesville; stepson, Ousby Wade Rogers Jr. of Charlottesville; three brothers, Bernard Franklin Henshaw Sr. and Owen C. Henshaw Jr., both of Stanardsville, and Floyd Harry Henshaw of Elkton; one grandson, Asher Nathan Courtney; two stepgrandchildren, Cierria Nichole Christian, and Kelsey Nicole Houchens; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, December 9, 2006, at Solid Rock Full Gospel Church conducted by Pastor Larry Morris. Interment will be at Holly Memorial Gardens in Charlottesville.
Memorial contributions may be made to Solid Rock Full Gospel Church, 3580 Spottswood Trail, Barboursville, VA 22923.
