Sandra J. Potter
Jan. 6, 1949 -- March 7, 2008Sandra "Sandy" Potter passed away March 7 from complications from a bone marrow transplant.
She was born in Lebanon to Doris and Raleigh "Jack" Henshaw. She graduated from Albany Union High School in 1967.
She was married to Lee Potter for 41 years. Her No. 1 thing in life was being his wife, a mother to their three sons and a grandmother, which was an absolute joy to her heart.
She and Lee retired nine years ago and have put 20 thousand miles on their motor home in palm trees and sand. They lived in Laughlin, Nev.
Her interests were many, including painting, crocheting, gardening and bird watching. She was a totally accomplished lady.
She is survived by sons Deion L. Potter and wife Shannon of Lebanon, Michael J. Potter of Albany, and Aaron B. Potter and significant other Heather Erspamer of Scio; grandchildren Jacob, Kayla Rae and Kenzie of Lebanon, Kayla and Garrett of Scio, and Darrian of Salem; and one great-grandchild on the way. She had two sisters, Mickie Skinner of Camas, Wash., and Kathy Tucker of Lebanon. She had two brothers, Raleigh Henshaw Jr. and Bob Henshaw, the nicest and dearest people you could ever meet. Bob preceded her in death. She had the dearest niece you could ever hope for, Jennifer Tucker, of Vancouver, Wash.
Sandy was related to most of the Henshaws in the area.
"She will be missed more then you can ever imagine."
