YARMOUTHPORT - Helen M. (Dorn) Henshaw, 89, died Saturday at the Mayflower Place Nursing Center in West Yarmouth.  

She was the wife of C. Theodore "Ted" Henshaw for 67 years.  

Mrs. Henshaw was born in Melrose and raised and educated in Stoneham.  After her marriage, she moved to Lexington, where she worked as a teller for Lexington Trust.  In 1975, she moved to West Yarmouth and then to Yarmouthport in 2001.  

She was a communicant of St. Pius X Church in South Yarmouth and a member of its Ladies Guild.  She volunteered in preparing meals for the Noah Shelter in Hyannis.  She was also a member of the Yarmouth Garden Club, the Seashell Quilters, the Women's Club of Yarmouth and the Cape Cod Newcomers Club.  An avid cribbage player, she once scored a perfect hand.  She also enjoyed knitting and crafts.  

Surviving besides her husband are a sister, Muriel F. Baldwin of Stoneham; and several nieces and nephews.  

Visitation is at 9 a.m. Wednesday in the Hallett Funeral Home, 273 Station Ave., South Yarmouth, followed at 11 a.m. by a funeral Mass in St. Pius X Church, Station Ave., South Yarmouth.  Burial will be in Ancient Cemetery, Yarmouthport.  

Memorial donations may be made to Davenport-Mugar Cancer Center, c/o Healthcare Foundation for Cape Cod Hospital, P.O. Box 370, Hyannis, MA 02601; to American Heart Association, Cape & Islands Region, 2 White's Path, South Yarmouth, MA 02664; or to Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, 220 North Main St., Natick, MA 01760.

In 2006 Ted was living in Yarmouth Port, Barnstable County, Massachusetts.4

YARMOUTHPORT - Charles Theodore ''Ted'' Henshaw, 94, died Sunday at Pleasant Bay Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Brewster.  

He was the husband of Helen M. (Dorn) Henshaw, who died in 2003.  They were married for 67 years.  

Mr. Henshaw was born in Lynn and graduated from high school in 1930.  After graduation he worked as a hardware store salesman and studied accounting in the evenings.  During World War II he worked in purchasing for Mill Supply Corp. and with Kaiser Shipbuilding, which built the Liberty ships.  

After the war he worked for a granite supply company in Barre, Vt., and became a partner in a hardware store.  He later became head of purchasing at Massachusetts Institute of Technology in its government group, called Lincoln Laboratories, where he worked for 26 years.  

After retirement he moved to New London, N.H., and then to Cape Cod, finally settling in Yarmouthport.  He enjoyed golf and was an active volunteer at the Windsor Manor and Mayflower Place nursing homes.  

Survivors include four nieces, Susan Henshaw, Mary Jane Thompson, Loret Fallon and Moya Baldwin; and many great-nieces and great-nephews.  

A funeral will be at 9 a.m. Thursday from Hallett Funeral Home, 273 Station Ave., South Yarmouth, followed at 10 a.m. by a funeral Mass in St. Pius X Church, Station Avenue, South Yarmouth.  Burial is in Ancient Cemetery, Yarmouthport.  

Memorial donations may be made to Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, 220 N. Main St., Natick, MA 01760.
