Edna Lee Henshaw 1950 ~ 2007

Edna Henshaw, our daughter, sister, aunt and friend, passed away Sept. 11, 2007 from cancer.  She was born Oct. 18, 1950, in Richmond, VA to George Thomas and Carrie Lee Sadler Henshaw.  Edna graduated from BYU with a degree in elementary education and was a loyal Cougar fan.  She later completed her master's degree from Westminster College.  During her 34 year career in education, she impacted the lives of many young people.  Her life was enriched by her association with her colleagues and students.  She was an active member of the LDS Church and served faithfully in many positions in the Relief Society, Young Womens and Primary.  Her faith and conviction in the gospel of Jesus Christ was unwavering.  Edna enjoyed her association with many friends and family members as she traveled and attended sporting events.  She loved to work in her yard and was a meticulous homemaker.  Edna is survived by her father, George Thomas (Betty Sue) Henshaw, Jr., Midlotian [sic], VA; brothers, George Thomas (Kathleen) Henshaw, III, New Orleans, LA; Vernon McKay (Susan) Henshaw, Orem; sisters, Jane (Robert) Friel, Pleasant Grove; and Patty (Glen) Witt, Midlothian, VA; and 33 nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her mother, Carrie Lee Sadler Henshaw and sister, Nona Faye Henshaw.  Funeral services will be held Fri. Sept. 14th, at 1 p.m. at the Crescent Park 1st Ward, 11350 S. 1000 E.  Visitation will be on Thurs., from 68 p.m. at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 E. 10600 S. and on Fri. from 12-12:45 p.m. at the church.  Interment at Orem City Cemetery.  Online condolences at larkinmortuary.com
