A marriage bond was recorded for Samuel M. Hinshaw & Synthia Ann Duskins on January 23, 1862, Randolph County, North Carolina.  They were married three days later by Alfred Julian, J.P.9,19  

Synthia died Jul 24 1868, buried Genoa Cemetery, Monroe, Wayne County, Iowa.20
