In 1993-1996 Melanie and Carl were residing in Flora Vista, New Mexico.9 In 2006 Melanie and Carl were residing in Aztec, New Mexico.6 In 2009 Melanie and Carl were still residing in New Mexico.7

Carl's obituary was published in the "Farmington Daily Times" on October 12-19, 2016:5
Carl L. Waybourn, 71, transitioned peacefully surrounded by his loving wife and three children on Sunday Oct. 2, 2016. He was born July 17, 1945, in Okemah, Okla., to Watt and Louvre Waybourn. On April 6,1968, he married the love of his life Melanie Hinshaw-Waybourn in Arlington, Texas. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Melanie Hinshaw-Waybourn; children, Jason, Rebecca, Tiffany, Clint, Amanda and David; grandchildren, Aaron, Jesse, Jett, and Vivianna. Along with numerous family and friends. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends that so enjoyed his love, guidance and friendship.
A celebration of life for Carl will be at 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 16, at NFW Gateway Church, 4209 Basswood Blvd., Ft. Worth, Texas 76137. A reception will follow. Flowers and condolences may be sent to NFW Gateway Church in Ft. Worth, Texas.
