Donald C. Henshaw, age 69, Joplin, passed away on Saturday, February 16, 2008 at Freeman Hospital, Neosho.
Donald was born March 23, 1938 in Joplin, son of the late Donovan and Lucy Henshaw. He was a retired steel worker, and worked for Missouri Steel for over 20 years. He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam Conflict.
In addition to his parents, Donald was preceded in death by the love of his life, Helen Henshaw whom he married September 23, 1977, she preceded him in death on December 27, 2003.
"I have a large and loving family which includes two daughters, Frances North and husband, Bill of Joplin, Tammy Robehmed and husband, Sam of Burke, Virginia. I also have 6 grandchildren, Kim Kirkpatrick, Tina Porter, Donna Porter, all of Joplin, Stacy Ricker of Grove, OK, Justin and Joshua Clute, Burke, Virginia; 13 great grandchildren; five great great-grandchildren; sister, Betty Fass of Denver, Colorado; cousin, Naomi Conway of Duenweg, Missouri."
Funeral services will be Wednesday, February 20, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. in Parker Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Richard Jenkins officiating. Interment will follow in Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery with family serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends at Parker Mortuary on Tuesday from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m.
