James Hanshaw
CRESTON -- James W. Hanshaw, 73, went home to be with the Lord Thursday, Aug. 26, 2010, at Akron General Hospital, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. James was born March 29,1937, to Howard and Wavey Hanshaw, and was united in marriage to Joan M. Hanshaw in 1989. He loved her dearly. He loved camping, fishing, crafts and spending time with his family and friends around camp fires. Surviving in addition to his wife, are children, Vicki (Don) Carathers and Linda (Jerry) Patterson, both of Wooster, Debi (Steve) Raubenolt of Shreve, Lisa Peters of St. Petersburg, Fla., Kim McClellan of Hudson, Fla., Randy Bowers and Keith (Susan) Bowers, both of Wooster and Kathy (Mason) Boor of Parma; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a sister, Irene (Tony) Marshall of West Virginia; and a brother, Aubrey Collins of Indiana. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Orvall; and a sister, Maxine. There will be no calling hours. Memorial services will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Murray Funeral Home, 173 S. Main St., Creston, Ohio 44217, to help with final expenses. Tributes may be shared at www.Murray-Funeral-Home.com.
