Frederick W. Hanshaw
Frederick W. Hanshaw Sr., 69, of Charleston passed away January 2, 2009, at Hubbard Hospice House.
He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, and a retired truck driver from Teamsters Union Local No. 175.
Surviving are his wife of 48 years, Ruth Hanshaw; sons and a daughter-in-law, Frederick W. Hanshaw Jr. of Charleston, and Scott and Bonnie Hanshaw of LaBelle, Fla.; brothers and sisters, Gertrude George and Robert Hanshaw, both of Florida, Harry Hanshaw of Charleston, Barbara Patton of Sissonville, Sue White of Elyria, Ohio, Shirley Escue of Charleston, Eddie Hanshaw of Florida, and Wayne Hanshaw of Charleston; granddaughters, Tracy and Crystal Hanshaw, both of Charleston; great-grandson, Conner Hanshaw of Charleston; and beloved dog, Max.
The funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Monday, January 5, at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home, Charleston, with Pastor Mike Harper officiating. Entombment will be in Floral Hills Garden of Memories, Pocatalico.
Visitation with the family will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
The family requests no flowers. In lieu of flowers send contributions to Hubbard Hospice House, 1001 Kennawa Drive, Charleston, WV 25311, in memory of Frederick Hanshaw Sr.
