According to a cousin, Ralph Hanna Hurley, Henry T. Hurley was an excellent banjo player and also had a very good singing voice. He would occasionally stop by for extended visits at the home of Ralph's parents, Jesse B and Orna Hurley. Ralph also said Henry T. was sometimes refered to as "Hen".6
Ruhama and Henry lived on a farm near Worthville, Randolph County, North Carolina.6
